Dr. K. N. Satish, who is the Chairman of Sushruta Medical Trust, that operates KNN College of Nursing, is a renowned physician in Bangalore and is actively involved with the healthcare and medical and para-medical education scenario in Bangalore. Dr. Satish is an alumnus of some of the best institutions for medical education. After obtaining his MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, he went on to procure his post graduation degree, MD in General Medicine, from JJM Medical College, Davangere.

Thereafter, he was involved with Cook County Hospital, Chicago and the University Hospital, Saskatchewan, Canada, wherein he received a Fellowship in Cardiology. Since then, Dr. Satish has dedicated himself towards enriching the academic and healthcare standards in Bangalore. He has been involved as a Professor and as a Physician with various hospitals and institutes, including St. Johns Medical College and Hospital, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital, Ambedkar General Hospital and Vydehi Institute of Medicine.

He is a renowned academician and has given various lectures, especially with regard to HIV-AIDS, at various national and international symposia. Dr. Satish established a modest 80-bedded hospital in Yelahanka New Town, more than a decade back, in order to cater to the healthcare requirements of the local area, and this hospital has garnered the affection and patronage of the locals.

His skills as a passionate observer of the best management and ethical practices are widely noted. Dr. Satish is an exponent on the healthcare and education scenario and for this, the Government of Karnataka and other private organisations have awarded Dr. Satish with laurels and distinctions.

Mr. Preetam Satish is responsible for the excellent growth of KNN through the years. He has infused the Institute with a driving force and set the trajectory for its future growth. He has to his credit a Bachelor of Engineering degree from a reputed Engineering College in Karnataka and an executive degree in Management from IIM Calcutta. The proposed projects would stand to greatly benefit from Mr. Preetam Satish’s vision and proficient executive skills.

Suraj Satish, is a graduate of the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bangalore (BA, LL.B (Hons)) and has experience in healthcare law and policy. He has been immersed in the healthcare and healthcare technology space since several years. He is a hands-on worker, carrying forward the passion and innovation that KNN College is known for.

Prof. Jobi Jacob, Principal of KNN College and School of Nursing since 8 years, is a testimony to the passion that the College aspires to inculcate in it’s students. She has completed her B.Sc Nursing from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and where she received the President’s Gold medal and General Masters Silver medal. She has thereafter worked in the Army in the rank of Lieutenant at Command Hospital, Pune. After her stint at the Army, she completed her Masters in Obstetric and Gynaecology Nursing, where she achieved the first rank at the Institute. She has also worked at other Institutes in various academic and leadership positions. She has been appointed as examiner in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Education Board examination and has been instrumental in setting the papers for the University and Board examinations. She has also been the Resource person for ‘Research Methodology’ at the State level workshop and various other workshops, including the National Conference of the Infusion Nurses Society of India.

Mr. Babu Doraiswamy is an Industrial and Production Engineer with over 15 years of experience. Since the last 8 years, Mr. Babu Doraiswamy has been actively involved with the education scenario in Bangalore in various senior administrative positions. He is deeply involved with the operations at Vidya Mandir Institutions and at KNN Nursing College and has been a source of strength for KNN for several years. Mr. Babu Doraiswamy is a pro-active person with a wide network of association with various players in the education scenario in Bangalore.

Dr. Sudha Suresh is currently the Additional Dean of Management and Science University, Malaysia GEF International Medical School, which is housed inside the M.S. Ramaiah University campus. She is a highly respected academician with a great passion for constantly redefining the standards of education and an unwavering sense of discipline and integrity. She has two Ph.Ds to her credit. One from St. Johns Medical College and the other from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, both highly reputed institutions in India. Dr. Sudha Suresh has also been intimately involved with Manipal Universal Learning for several years, having headed the division of healthcare for a couple of years. Dr. Sudha has also taught in M.S. Ramaiah Medical College for several years and has almost two decades of teaching experience to her credit. During her sabbatical, she served as Visiting Faculty for a period of one year at the Department of Psychiatry, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, New York.
